Viticulture

Vineyard:
Soil Type: Klapmuts, Wasbank, Cartref.
Vine Age: 15 years old.
Irrigation: Drip Method
Harvest Date:
Yield: 8 t/ha.

Vinification:

Harvested at 25 balling, handpicked and delicately crushed. Cold
soaked through the night.
Inoculated the next morning, pump overs every 4 hours. Lightly
pressed and matured in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels for 18
months.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep garnet.
Nose: A cool climate Shiraz with hints of black fruit and
spice.
Palate: The palate is full and fruity, equally balanced with
subtle tannins and lingering juicy aftertaste.
Other: Pairs well with venison, rich meaty stews or duck.
