Viticulture

Vineyard: Steep slopes located around the town of Porrera. The Garnacha is from El Menescal - Mas d’en Pubill is 450 meters above sea level with a South exposure, while the Cabernet Sauvignon is from Coma d'en Romeu, 400m alt. South/South-West slope.
Soil Type: Licorella.
Vine Age: Mainly planted in 1995.

Yield: Very low.

Vinification:

This is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Garnacha.
Anjoli was fermented in open vats and aged for 12 months in 225 liters Allier oak barrels before assembling.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Bright ruby.
Nose: Red berry, violet, smokey with fresh tobacco and licorice.
Palate: It is fresh, juicy and focused with a silky texture. Concentrated blueberry and cherry flavors with a spicy and lingering finish.
Other: Anjoli will go well with grilled sausages, oxtail stew, BBQ, slow braised lamb short-ribs, Mexican or Southwestern American cuisine.
