The German Barbier Oli d'Oliva Verge Extra, the Barbier Brothers Extra Virgin Olive Oil, is made from a blend of varieties of olives typically found in the Priorat; arbequina, empeltre and rojal.
Cold extracted, the olive trees are planted throughout the Clos Mogador Vineyards. The same philosophy as for wine-making is used with respect of nature and the environment. No mechanical tools are used in the vineyard and cellar, it is picked by hand, cold pressed and made in the wine cellar.
The oil is made in the fall and bottled per vintage in January the following year. It should be consumed within 24 months of production to be fully appreciated.
Store in a dry cool place.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Bright, straw yellow.
Nose: intense aromas of tomatoes and citrus.
Palate: Low acidity and a long pleasing after taste.
Other: If stored under 7°Centigrade it will become cloudy and clear up again at higher temperature.
It shows very well on its own as a dip with plain bread. Also great sprinkled over fresh tomatoes.
