2007 Blend


Vineyard: Three different vineyards of old Carignan vines.This is a blend of 75% Carignan, 15% Grenache, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Soil Type: 3 different kind of soils: slate (llicorella), red clay (argila) and calcareous.
Vine Age: Carignan is from vines between 70 and 90 years old.
Irrigation: No irrigation
Harvest Date: First two weeks of October 2007.
Yield: 1 kg or less per vine.


The grapes have been selected from the best vineyards. Fermentation and maceration took 28 days. Fermented with indigenous yeast. Then it was aged for 17 months in new French oak barrels, further aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and finally aged in the bottle before release.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep ruby color. Opaque.
Nose: Complex, with dark fruits such as blackberries, licorice, plum, and other like spice box, incense, peppery spices, sandalwood.
Palate: Full bodied on the palate, concentrated black fruit flavors with a lot of depth and spiciness, minerals, great concentration of tannins, with a lingering finish.
Other: This is a big food wine with a great personality, well balanced and versatile. To be enjoyed with rich winter dishes.
