2013 Blend


Vineyard: Vineyards located around the town of El Masroig.
Soil Type: Mostly chalky & calcareous.
Vine Age: 30 to 50 years old and older.
Irrigation: No irrigation

This is a blend of 50% grenache, 40% Carignan and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This wine was made using traditional fermentation with indigenous yeast. The two typical regional grapes; Carignan & Grenache are the backbone, the addition of the Cabernet Sauvignon adds complexity to the wine.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and aged further in the bottle.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep garnet.
Nose: Some pretty red fruits and spice.
Palate: It is well balanced, displaying a lot of freshness and elegant spices. It is focused with a lingering finish.
Other: Pinyeres goes well with lamb, grilled red meat, tomato based pasta or pizza.
