Vinification:

This type of terroir gives a powerful structure, richness, spicy
aromas and long life to its wines, it is ideal for Gewurztraminer.
This Gewürztraminer comes from several vineyards from
Rorschwihr, it is not vineyard specific.
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness when the pip's color
has become brown, fermentation starts on its own with indigenous
yeast and will stop by itself. The wine is bottled within 11 months
from harvest, the bottles are stored in the cellar and released when
the wine is finally ready for consumption. This is a young release
for Rolly Gassmann and the 2016 vintage was exceptional.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light yellow.
Nose: Spicy with ginger and fresh apricot. Elegant and
subtle aromas.
Palate: It is layered with fruity notes of apricot, orange,
kumquat, fresh ginger and lime. great minerality and
acidity showing through.
Other: Great with anything spicy especially ginger, enjoy with
Asian influenced dishes.
