Viticulture

Vineyard: High density plantation with 4000 vine / ha.
Soil Type: Clay-calcareous soil poor in organic matter, nutrients and mineral salts, with an abundance of pebbles, remains of alluvium and gravel.

Harvest Date: 3rd week of September.
Yield: Low yields.

Vinification:

This is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha.
VITICULTURE
Criteria for quality is moderation in terms of production and limit yields by planting high-density vineyards with 4 000 vines per hectare. The selection of rootstock focused on the selection of low vigour plants. Irrigation is used to guarantee harvest while maintaining a level of water stress in the vineyard.
VINIFICATION
Varietals are harvested and vinified separately; the alcoholic fermentation lasted for over seven days, with maceration on the skin for five days. The maximum temperature for fermentation is 28 degrees Centigrade. The malolactic fermentation was done in stainless steel tanks. Aged in oak barrels for four months.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Brillant plum with purple on the rim.
Nose: It is fresh and floral with ripe berry notes and a hint of wood.
Palate: It is well balanced on the palate with good acidity, bold fruity flavors and a velvety texture.
Other: It will go well with grilled or roasted meats as well as winter stews. It is a relatively approachable red wine.
