A Rioja Crianza is a wine that was aged for at least two years, with a mínimum of one year oak barrel aging.

Nexo Crianza vineyards are located near Viana, in the heart of the Rioja Alta region, with a mountainous landscape, on the Western edge of the greater Rioja region. Rioja Alta is known for its ‘old world’ style of wines. A higher elevation equates to a shorter growing season, which in turn produces fresher fruity flavored wines with a lighter style.
High density vineyards, low-vigor grafting, Guyot training for higher vegetation and the drip irrigation method is managed closely to guarantee a good harvest with a certain level of stress for higher quality fruits.

VINIFICATION
Fermentation took ten days at 28ºCentigrade, 18 days long skin maceration and malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. The wine was then aged for over 12 months in American oak barrels with two racking. Aged further in the bottle for the wine to refine itself.

Palate: The wine is tasty, with a good structure, meaty and well balanced.
