Viticulture

Vineyard:
Soil Type: Koffieklip and oakleaf soils.
Vine Age: 21 years old.
Irrigation: Drip Method
Harvest Date: Middle to end of Feb 2010
Yield: Below 9 tons per hectare

Vinification:

Grapes were machine harvested as well as hand-picked. Only the free run juice was settled and inoculated with selected yeast strains in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation took place under controlled conditions at 12 °Centigrade.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light straw colour.
Nose: Fresh tropical fruit with aroma's of peach and pineapple.
Palate: A wine with a refreshing acidity, fruit and a spiciness on the palate.
Other: Enjoy as an aperitif, seared tuna or spicy Asian cuisine.
