Viticulture

Vineyard: Piekenierskloof.
Soil Type: Sandy & Loamy soils.
Vine Age: 17 years old.
Irrigation: Drip Method
Harvest Date: Early February.
Yield: less than 6 t/ha.

Vinification:

The grapes are handpicked early in the morning, at the coolest time of the day in order to retain the pure freshness from the fruits.
Only free run juice was used, settled and inoculated with selected yeast strains. Fermented under controlled conditions at 12 °Centigrade.
No wood aging.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light and clear.
Nose: Some hints of tropical fruits, nicely fragrant.
Palate: Clear tropical fruits with some grapefruits and a good minerality..
Other: Goes very well with sea food such as grilled calamari or any shellfish. Also great on its own. Serve very chilled.
