Vine Age: 19 years old.
Irrigation: Drip Method
Harvest Date: 1st week in February.
Yield: less than 6 t/ha.

Six Hats seeks to produce wines that will contribute to the lives of the people whose hard work is expressed in each bottle. There are minimum prices set for grapes and an additional percentage of the sales are given back to the community who uses the money to build schools, clinics and other projects to improve their lives.
Six Hats is a registered Fairtrade producer.

Grapes sourced from Fairtrade vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region. the vineyards are trellised and grow on sandy, loam soils.
Grapes were handpicked very early in the morning allowing them to retain fresh flavors and only the free run juice was used. It was settled and inoculated with selected yeast strains, fermenting under controlled conditions at 12 °Centigrade. No wood ageing.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light with hints of green.
Nose: Some rich tropical notes.
Palate: It is fresh and lively with a good acidity. Refreshing and uncomplicated with notes of guava and grapefruit.
Other: Matches well with fresh seafood, scallops and white fish, can also be enjoyed on its own.
